Microsoft Teams is Launching a new Search Result Page
AI powered for faster and better results
Microsoft Teams is getting better by the day. Microsoft recently announced launch of a search result page for Teams Desktop App powered by AI. This search result improvisation promises relevant and faster results.
According to the Microsoft roadmap, “A new search experience in Teams will make finding messages, people, answers, and files faster and more intuitive. A redesigned search results page provides better context and faster results, with AI-powered relevance based on the people and content you engage with most in Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.”

Microsoft will start rolling out the new search result page by November 2021 and the roll out is expected to finish by mid-of November.
The current search feature that displays the results on the left pane and the context on the right is in itself a convenient feature. The user can see view different contexts from the single page. However, the search as such falls short on intuition. Hopefully, this re-modelling of search will go several yards ahead in providing a great user experience.
